Business Development Blueprint
I’m lucky enough to have been involved in a number of successful Business ventures across a range of business. I first developed my flair as a ‘launcher’ in my first ever ‘real’ sales job in the events industry. They were a small company but they knew what it took to turn an idea into a profitable business venture, and how to leverage IP to amplify the results.
I took what I learned here and I built on it. From there I launched two more events in Australia, a logistics company, went through an IPO, launched two online businesses and been involved in numerous product launches. It’s exhausting but fun!
I’ve taken lessons from what doesn’t work and I committed what does work to memory. I have now documented my business development experience in what I call the Business Development Blueprint.
What is the Business Development Blueprint?
It’s essentially a check list or sequence of steps to go through to optimise your face to face, ecommerce and marketing functions and get them firing on all cylinders. No two businesses are the same, so not every step will be appropriate for every business. By working through the blueprint together, at least we can be sure that we have left nothing to chance.
Who will the Business Development Blueprint benefit the most?
The steps involved in the business development blueprint are applicable to almost any business, however small to medium sized business can benefit the most. Read the following statements to see if any of this rings true for you.
- Your taking the business through a new direction
- You are on a steep learning curve when it comes to Sales and Marketing
- You want to start making sales online
- You have a brand new business, small business unit (SBU) or product that you wish to take to market.
- You wish to get more out of you sales team.
- You want to measure the performance of your team.
- You know there’s a missing link, but you don’t know exactly what.
If any of these statements sound familiar and you’re based in Sydney, then let’s discuss your business development strategy together and optimise your sales and marketing functions.
How does this work?
- We start off with a free audit of your business development strategy. It’s simple. We meet. I ask you what you’re currently doing. You answer honestly and we talk about filling in the gaps.
- I typically meet clients for a morning or afternoon a week. We spend about an hour looking at what’s was achieved last week and put some action items in place to be achieved in the next week.
- The remainder or the session is spent actioning some of those tasks together.
- We will pick off the checklist not only in order of dependency but in order to what will give you the quickest returns.
What sorts of things are covered.
I’m not going to put all my cards on the table here for obvious reasons. I’ll leave the really clever stuff for our first meeting. My Business development blueprint covers the fundamentals of business development, including:
- Business Development Audit
- CRM system and review.
- Sales Force Automation
- Sales Process Engineering
- Email Marketing
- Unique Point of Difference
- Collateral
- Brand
- Target Market
- Market Analysis
- Online strategy and website review
- Advertising
- Partnerships and networking
- Channel development
- Reporting and essential metrics
- Telemarketing essentials
- Ecommerce
- Keyword optimisation
- Events
- Authority
Now if you think that I’m claiming to be an expert in all of these disciplines, then you would be sadly mistaken. What I can give you however is the ability to get the basics right in all of these areas. Once we have these fundamentals in place, I’d like to hand over to dedicated experts to further optimise your business.
Are you’re ready for the Business Development Blueprint?
Before your pick up the phone, before you send me an email, answer this question as honestly as you can.
What am I willing to sacrifice to grow my business?
I need to make one thing clear. You don’t get something for nothing in this world. You will need to work hard. I can’t do the work for you and I’m not going to. If you’re serious about growing your business, your prepared to work hard and maybe even invest a little bit to fund your growth, then let me show you the steps to grow your business.
